The observatory has four main telescopes and all are accessible on flat ground (no stairs to negotiate) enabling ease of viewing. See Jupiter with its cloud bands and moons or Saturn with its spectacular rings, all possible with our auto guided tracking Telescopes. These planets and many more wonderful objects in the night sky are able to be seen at different times of the year (weather permitting).
Dark Skies
Lake Boga is just far enough away from the larger town of Swan Hill not to be affected by the city’s lights.

Visits can be arranged for groups at special rates so if you are a member of a group like Probus, Rotary, Lions, Community, a Family Group or a School group then, a trip to the Observatory or Planetarium is a “must do activity” when visiting Swan Hill or Lake Boga Of course the glass studio is on show for both attractions at no extra cost.AND REMEMBER – Special discounts apply to groups over 10 persons.

Lake Boga is the ideal spot to relax for a day or a week and is just 20 minutes by car from the popular town of Swan Hill noted for it’s Mediterranean climate and the historical Pioneer Settlement.When staying in Swan Hill why not plan a trip to Lake Boga and visit Bogartz Glass Studio situated in the same building as the Planetarium 236 Murray Valley Highway Lake Boga.The Catalina Museum is another excellent attraction in Lake Boga. The two attractions at Lake Boga are within a few minutes drive from each other and you can either take a picnic lunch by the lake or have a meal at the Commercial Hotel which is part of the wartime history of Lake Boga.These two attractions make an easy day tour from Swan Hill, only a short 20 minute drive via the Murray Valley Highway.
